Again, evidence shows people will not come in the numbers people dream up just because the pay on the gate price is £25 or lower. It doesn't actually make sense. Nero
It's really frustrating reading some of these comments. Obviously a lot of you haven't been bothered to listen to the FFP podcasts or the other stuff posted on here. And you come on and spout utter rubbish about lowering prices etc etc to get the fans back. Winning football got more fans in. The prices were raised, we spent more money, we started winning and then you part timers turned up and we were getting 27000. We're not winning and now the excuses are out about why were down to 23000 again.

Not sure why your post is so aggressive If that's how life is and winning football excites people to attract them to football then I see no real advantage or sense in trying to suggest casual supporters are scummy for being casual supporters There's people that go to every Celine Dion concert, stand at the front, get Celine tattoos and change their names by deed poll, and there are others that might go every now and again. kristmace
Great idea. Love the flexibility and the online management. Prices aren't enough of a discount though. Average price on the Kop was £33 last season, and this £33.33 so no saving really. Members prices are bizarre. £15 discount for 6 games? Should be £30 minimum or there's no point. chrisf
Here's an idea. Next season, £25 on the gate for adults, all stands. Season tickets priced accordingly so ST holders pay less per game. Nah, I'll never make a football club chairman.

Would be good to have a few more in though. 2,000 might not seem much to the club, but that's 2,000 fans who can't make all games who all of a sudden can. Can only be a good thing to get more in - although £30 is too high.
Bearwood Owl1
I for one think that the club have listened and acted on it. This was suggested at Steering Group meetings over the last year or two. It's taken time to come to fruition, but glad it has. It suits those who can't attend every game for reasons of work/distance/family etc. It's as flexible as it reasonably possible and given the constraints of the pricing policy more generally, is priced well. I hope they sell '000s of them :)

Stop talki g poo mate. If it was £28/£32 permanently over the season we would make a lot more. Lee Strafford tried it when he was chairman (I think it was Lee). We discounted almost every game in the second half of the season. It made negligible difference. The ONLY evidence is that regular lower prices do NOT lead to regularly vastly increased attendances. It's just not true. Also I was referring to £20-25 if you might recall. Edited August 16, 2018 by Offside_Owl

Guest mkowl
It is all about getting the balance. It is absolutely true that attractive, winning football will always lure in the crowds What is probably true is that dull football and sat at mid table with prices high won't. There is unfortunately no 100% correlation that high prices = better players = attractive winning football. That is the issue season 1 under Carlos we got that. Season 2 huge sums of money were wasted and the football got more pragmatic. Season 3 the football became losing football when the plot was lost. Those better players did not even make the pitch. So if you don't deliver on your promise of what higher prices will bring you are in trouble. The old phrase of don't climb over people on the way up as you might need them on the way down
