Jack Hunt from #SWFC to Bristol City

Recommended Posts

Bit of a shame as I think the CC approach stifled hunt who used to have a real swagger about him going forward. Would work well in Luhukays set up and I suspect Lee Johnson will bring his attacking game out.

Nonetheless he joined on PL wages and we need to move players on. We must feel Baker or another cheaper target can do the job.

Fee isn’t great unless he’s in last 12 months? But probably a profit.

Hunt might not want to have been back up, I doubt he'd want that really.

You are probably right.

Though that would mean someone better is coming in.

I am just surprised that of all the players we should move on I didn't think Hunt would be one.

We signed Hunt from a Premier League club. Guess he is on very decent wages.

We can’t afford to sign somebody better and have Hunt as backup. Cloud cuckoo land.

The young lad who played against Norwich is not the answer.

Presume it will be a loan to come in.

Would like at least £2 million but with him being in the last year of his contract I think it's understandable. If he's not in the long term plans then it's better to cash in than him run his contract down and leave on a free.

Adds up perfectly

We need money

Hunt is replaceable

Hunt will be earning much more than Palmer

Hunt is wanted by other teams, Palmer most likely isn’t

He is replaceable.

But can we get some one better and still make a profit on Hunt?

I see no point in moving players just to bring worse in.

Palmer would be wanted by other teams .

Just not necessarily in this division.

IMO perhaps on my own  he was never good enough   lost count of the mysterious injuries he got during games

better going forward  than defending but an inconsistent crosser

IF he passes the medical i'm ok with the deal

I think it’s good buisness. Hunt as a defender isn’t good enough. He’s been first choice because Palmer is even worse. He doesn’t get tight enough, allowing the opposite team to cross or win headers at the back post. (Look at the goals we have conceded). Going forward he has one good cross in 10. Get Byram in on loan and Freddy. Every season Hunt plays for us, he seems to get more injuries also.

Cheers Though, Jack. Been a super servant!

I liked Hunt.  Gave his all. Final ball wasn't always there,  but that's what you get in the second division.

Poor chap seemed to have to be subbed off injured every week last season. Or so it seemed in my head.

Wish the lad well.

As for RWB. Jos doesn't strike me as the type to have left anything to chance.  There'll will a kid impressing in training or he'll have a replacement already lined up.
