SiJ
He's a good player. Not the most spectacular, but he reads the game well and makes important interceptions. Very good at keeping the ball and distributing it out wide. Seems to be this season's Lopez. Edited April 18, 2017 by SiJ

Beholder
I saw only saw Jones lose the ball once yesterday. Then again, Darren Potter hardly ever lost the ball either..

He cant tackle either.. Yeah, 100%. We absolutely need more players who consistently lose the ball
sheriwozgod
Played better lately as have most of our players and i hope he keeps it up......................but lets not kid ourselves here his performances up to the middle of march were not a "slow start" , they were pi$$ poor. theowlsman
Should be on his CV. Adds an extra 0.4 points per game. Play him for 5 games and that's the difference between a win and a draw.

He cant tackle either.. Yes that's exactly what we need, players to move the ball about more slowly. Jones has improved us a lot, because he has the discipline to hold his position. So often this season you look at us on the pitch and there is a huge gaping hole in the centre of the pitch where our midfielders should be. I hope if it comes to it he holds his nerve this time and plays the ball player instead of the destroyer. Could you not make an argument to play both them...? Costello 77
He's come good at exactly the right time. I had my doubts about his fitness..But he's swallowing the pitch up just now. Easily as good as Lopez.. Doing the job to a T.
Handball_!!
Good player... Does the hard yards, allowing Bannan get up field and fire shots into the kop each game.

Easily Jones has never been a merely defensive midfielder , we are playing him deeper than he has at other clubs. Rather than having Hutch dropping so deep I would play him and Jones at the side of each other making us a lot more solid in midfield A spine of Westwood Lees Loovens Hutch Jones Rhodes Hooper would make us us very strong

Wouldn't offer us that much width but it wouldn't be needed as the full back could push on... Merely an idea... Love that spine that you've highlighted above!! NorthernOwl
The type of player you don't notice until he's not in the team. Does the unglamorous stuff, keeps us ticking over and rarely makes mistakes.
