IMO video evidence is ok for goal line calls. As I understand it the ref gets immediate indication as to whether the ball has crossed the line.

Other than that things get much too complicated.

Answer me this one :-

Westwood delivers a long clearance upfield

Forestieri runs on to the ball

Linesman flags offside and referee blows whistle.

Video evidence shows Forestieri was in fact ONSIDE.

How does referee restart the game?WTF:

Free kick to Wednesday from the position Fernando touched the ball would be the easiest way.

Agree with this caller, we need video evidence for debatable decisions.

That would take out some of the indecision and make it harder to fix football matches, that is never going to happen. When we benefit from bad decisions would you still say the same?

Yes that would be the easiest way, but would it be fair?

We go from a one on one with the goalkeeper to a free kick with possibly 11 defenders behind the ball.

Also, if the offside decision is given in the penalty area, does the free-kick be one a penalty?

Too many potential problems.

IMO leave it as it is - technology for goal line decisions only.

Anyway if technology decides every borderline decision what the Hell would we argue about in the pub and on Owlstalk?lol
