MARK DAVIES

Recommended Posts

Bolton could have played him if they wanted.

Perhaps we have acted in the best of ways, but it is not our fault that Bolton are staring at financial oblivion.

I have sympathy for their plight, but then continuing to pay high earners in the Championship like Mark Davies is the reason why they're in such a mess.

Listening to that Megson interview it's clear that they were struggling in the Prem to balance the books.

Won't lose any sleep over it.

If he's happy picking up money in a soon to be League One team then so be it.

Tells you all you need to know about certain players.

Eh? Have you not been following this thread? Its beem reported that we agreed terms with him, but pulled out at the last minute due to medicsl concerns.

You don't need his medical records to understand the associated risk with Davies. Ask anyone familiar with him for their opinion of Davies, most would probably say very talented, but injury-prone - or something along those lines. If we got to the latter stages of the deal before realising that, then yes, it is a tad embarrassing.

You don't know what aspect of his medical records we've pulled out due to. He might have osteoporosis for example.

Disgraceful in what way?

We wanted to sign him, but his fitness / medical issues have scuppered that.

apparently we told Bolton not to cup tie him and then said we wouldn't sign him if he played against us. we then pull out for medical reasons without him having a medical

Oh well.

Sure they'll get over it eventually

They have bigger things to worry about than us pulling out of signing Davies , like going into administration on monday and the points deduction that follows .

Shouldn't pay stupid wages to players who don't want to move to another club unless offered something near what they already earn.. Which won't happen.

i don't know if that is true or where you get your info from but Davies was a Bolton player and it was up to them to decide if he played in any of the games. All deals are at risk until the contract is signed and they should have been in control of their own player.

At the end of the day they should have been stronger.

Don't see it any different to Leeds and byram. Byram/ Everton will have told Leeds that they/ he doesn't want to play in case he gets injured and the deal falls through

Only difference here is that we were the team trying to sign Davies and its fallen through
