Derby are putting the side together that fell apart at the end of last season.

Bent & Ince are very good Championship players but they upset the harmony at Derby and subsequently cost them promotion and the managers job.

New Derby boss Paul Clement says he will be using his contacts at Chelsea, Liverpool, PSG and Real Madrid, to try and bring the best players to Derby County. Let's hope Stuart Gray can do the same, and we can use all his influence to clinch the deal for Northampton Town's Ivan Toney. Go on Stuey, give it your best shot

Baker, Sahar, Martinez, Keane, Afobe, Rodri, Bostock, Barkley

Don't think getting loans from top teams is much of a problem for us

I think it was more McCLaren being pretty obvious he was leaving for Newcastle at the end of the season that disrupted the harmony!

No we've done well with our loans, even back in league one

Id argue that is why we are left now with a squad lacking numbers and quality.

The reliance on loans is detrimental to the long term.

One or Two real quality loans can get teams promoted, you shouldnt plan the whole hopes of a season on which loan signings can be made though.

I'd agree with that, but we have four of our own strikers, and that hasn't done us much good.

He was backed in January to improve a very good side.

He brought in, Bent, Ince and Lingard, 3 excellent players for this level.

However, the form dipped and they stopped doing the things they were good at ie being a decent team made up of solid pros.

The Derby team became the Ince and Bent show.

Lavery injured and out on loan.

Bus signed in Jan and didnt feature much.

Nuhiu and May were our options.

May is a young striker and he was stepping up a level.

Again, our strikers were thrown together and each of them a bit of a gamble.

I know we are on the same page anyway mate, hopefully those days are gone.
