The green variety. It works well for football pitches.

Jennings rye.

Very hardy grass strain designed by well known horticulturist Ben Jennings.

Designed with sports pitches in mind, known for its hard wearing qualities, and need for less watering.

First introduced at Twickenham and Murrayfield in 2013.

Won sports surface of the year in 2014 at the annual Sports Facilities Federation Awards, held in Bristol, and sponsored by John Innes.

Tinks was told all about this recently but didn't share with the rest of us. Thought we'd all get over excited.

About her, not the grass that is.

Mind you, Tinks ought to know a thing or two about grass. But I'm very discrete, so will keep that one to myself.

I'm not waiting till next next year for my grass.

Just phoned Turkish Billy, he's coming round in a bit with half an ounce for me.

Better be decent this time or he's in trouble.
