Dalian
I'd go Andy Blair too for sheer randomness. Its a long time ago but did he not come on as sub that night and were all at leps end?

theowlsman
I'd go along with the 4 Hirsty got against Hull. I especially liked the goal where he nearly kicked the Hull player's head off
ronnie
According to Wiki Andy Blair only scored 3 goals for us. He also (wiki) won the European cup with Villa despite not even being on the bench.

I think he only got 3 league goals for us and 4 in the cups and if my memory serves me right the hat trick of pens was a cup match v Luton. Leaping Lannys Perm
I've been to hundreds (well, probably 200) Wednesday games and am yet to see a Wednesday hat-trick that I can think of. FFS. This. I've got to be pushing my triple century but don't think I've seen a competitive one live.
fife_owl
Hirst getting 4 against hull Does that count Yup. Thats number one for me. Remember the last goal, picked up the ball on the half way line, ran down the right and slid it in - ran in front of the kop end of the South where we were sat - magical. One goal was pure class, stuck out his foot, doinked it over his head, swivelled and lashed it home with the left boot on the volley - flippingamazing. Seen Carlton's and Boothies as well as a Michael Owen hat trick, but nothing will ever get near Hirsties.
