S6 sell-out for Baggies clash!

The Owls’ clash with West Brom on Saturday at Hillsborough is a sell-out!

This weekend is our final home game of the 2023/24 campaign.

Danny Röhl and his squad will be looking to round off our S6 fixture schedule on a high with another crucial victory in the quest for Championship survival against the Baggies.

Wednesday climbed out of the relegation zone on Sunday afternoon with a 3-1 victory over Blackburn at Ewood Park, backed by a capacity 7,000+ following in Lancashire.

Now the Owls will return to Hillsborough on Saturday and face the Baggies with a bumper crowd behind the boys all the way!

The club have been in discussions with the local Safety Advisory Group since last week regarding the additional release of tickets and will provide an update in due course.

Thank you for your superb support!

Posted (edited)

Just had a look back at the ‘Let’s Get The Play Off Semi-Final 2nd Leg Sold out’ thread and there was 1220 listed when LL had gone on sale. So around that I imagine?

That’s a great thread actually after the Friday night at Peterborough 🤣

I have to admit, having seen these threads all season, I wasn't expecting one of them to actually result in a sell-out. 😁

Fair play to our massive fans and for Danny Röhl and his team for giving us something to cheer for.

When Hillsborough's full it feels like anything's possible. That roar is like nothing else. Let's put on a show.

SOLD OUT according to online anyways, any news on kelp lower?

Next door to the Snakelocks Anemones, but be careful you might catch something nasty, infested with crabs apparently!

Why don’t we just give away fans the lower as standard and if demand is there from them and not us, then give them the upper as well.. where as games like this where demand is there (from the one game a season wonders) we take it?

Probably because we have to give them a minimum of 2000 & that doesn’t fit in the bottom tier under current restrictions

So how did qpr get away with only giving us 1800?

Looking forward to Saturdays atmosphere!! Game will be tricky as hell, they ripped Leicester apart last weekend. Feel like theres abit of over confidence on here regarding our plight… its still well within our capabilities to screw it up🤪

Remember the Newcastle debacle. LL lower was reduced in capacity to 1300.

"The Lower West Stand now has a further reduced capacity of 1,300 (down from 1,500 as a result of the recent review) for a stand with a holding capacity of 2,366," the authority said.

Pretty sure it's back to 1500 now

The rules require a minimum of 2,000 or 10% of ground capacity whichever is lower.

EFL Rules on away fans

34.2. 1 Each Club must make provision for at least 2,000 visiting supporters at every home match or such number as represents 10% of the Club's certified capacity, if less than 2,000.
