Jay Bothroyd criticising Erling Haaland's play is like the Krankies telling Robert De Niro how to improve his acting.

It's great isn't it

Honestly if someone had suggested this would ever happen I'd have laughed them out of my presence
But this morning here it is - Jay Bothroyd critiquing Haaland's effort

Amazing stuff

Surely the producers do their research? Old Clinton was never gods gift, but he grafted and was an honest pro. People respect him and he focuses on constructive, positive feedback. Bothroyd ffs. Whatever came out of his mouth, I would do the exact opposite. A joke of a footballer.

Utter drivel.

Ok, so Haaland isn't the greatest link up player in the world, but who gives a crap with that goal scoring ratio.

In his first season they won the treble ffs.

Yeah but they sacked all them

You mean Charlies Nicholas, Phil Thompson and Matt Le Tissier?

I don't think anyone tuned in for their brilliant insights.

It was more the fact they'd say stupid stuff.

"Thommo" and "Merse" questioning the singing of Kevin De Bruyne is one of the great calls.

I mean, Jay did spend a lot of time playing and not scoring, so he's obviously thought looking and hard about this? 🤣

If the comments came from anyone else I'd imagine there'd be less ridicule.

Let's just mark this up as a sort of those who can, do, those who can't, teach.

Also, it's easy to point out hypothetical micro improvements in a player who is at the top of their game isn't it!
