Popular Post SiJ
That would require some forward thinking and investment. That's not really Chansiri's MO. Also, is the Prince planning on taking out some more loans?

Popular Post Southie_Owl
Yeah Chansiri doesn’t want to progress the club forward sadly. Funny after he scoffed at Brentford’s lack of ambition. Another reason why he’s not the right person to own this football club if he’s not willing. or able to improve the infrastructure to any kind of modern standard. Sell up now 17
Highowl
I thought for a few moments DC might have sold them Middlewood Road to finance next year's team building .
Sykes
If only there was a large parcel of land somewhere near S6... On the bright side, at least we're getting another dull, consumerist retail park.
mike84
But we've got a broken tent and training pitches that can't be used in winter.

I could be wrong, but does investment in training, academies etc., even go towards Profit and Sustainability?

Baldrick
They better hope the centre includes a facility for a new defence
ohgoditsjames
Chansiri probably doesn't even know what a training ground is so why would you expect him to have forward planning like this?
Umeeksk
I'm sure their fans aren't happy with the spankings they're receiving on the pitch, but I'd grin and bear it for a year to buy a new training facility with the TV money. And fix up Hillsborough a bit while we're at it.
WalthamOwl
Chansiri and planning, showing ambition and investing in the future aren’t words that belong in the same sentence
room0035
Would that mean investing in the infrastructure of the club and planning for the future. DC does not do that, he doesn't even plan for the next transfer window.
POWP
HSBC have been looking for a way out of there for years... I'm sure they came close to settling about 10 years ago but ended up with a council deal or something? It's always been fairly decent facilities, tho the pitches were on a slight slant! Hard to call it a missed opportunity for us tho. We're literally not in the same ballpark... We have no money, an owner disinterested in investing and we struggle to pay for what we have. Sadly, new training facilities and land purchases feel a million steps away these days.
