I stood on the Kop with a mate for a match against West Brom in 77/78 and the racist chanting targeted at Laurie Cunningham was unbelievable. BridportOwl Posted April 28, 2022 Share Posted April 28, 2022 For what it is worth, I don't think people talking about taking an inflatable banana are racist, however with the racial abuse dished out towards our black England players after the Euro's ,which included the sending of banana emojis, I personally would not be comfortable waving a banana around a football ground.
