alanharper Posted September 11, 2021 Share Posted September 11, 2021 I did warn you when we seemed to be taking the pizza cup seriously. 2003/04 and 2010/11, bright start in league followed by a decent run in the JPT, finished midtable or lower. 2004/05 and 2011/12, mixed start but got ourselves knocked out of JPT straightaway, we got promoted. It will take time to gel but I'd be disappointed if we didn't finish top six with this squad. Look at how Ipswich and Charlton have started the season. It's all I can think to explain our constant failures. Its just a rough league. You get carried away in the summer because you sign some decent looking players. But reality hits and you realise it’s nowhere near as easy down here as you think. Big club coming down, everyone wants to beat you.
