Other than the Cardiff game he was poor when picked in midfield. When playing at the back he has arguably been our best defender.

Would get picked ahead of Dunkley and Borner every time.

Bad egg though apparently.

Agreed, from memory he also hasn't had any complete howler unlikes Lees, Borner and Dunkley have on more than 1 occasion. Makes you wonder WHY Monk & Jos were so oppose to him? If he'd been here all season could have been very different!

Yes.

Him and Iorfa at CB next season will be a nice platform to build a team around.

The forgotten man! Oh how we've missed him.

100% no brainer. At CB and make him captain.

Called it since Loovens departure, should have been captain since.

No thanks.

Why?

We don't have any better defenders and you are hoping the recruitment team will source them?

That's the same recruitment team that agreed to take Monk's lead and bin off Hutchinson last year only to turn back to him the moment that Monk went.

I like his commitment, nice to see in a totally shizzle season.

Another year then the lad will probably retire into the arms of his stunning wife.

Any pics? I g3nuinly think I’ve never seen a pic of his wife

If we were looking to push on as a club and get promoted to the PL then he has to go.

But we aren’t and are in the division below. He’d be a cut above at centre back.. if we get rid whoever comes in would be worse. So it’s a yes for me

Would rather us move to a 4 at the back and make Hutchinson and Iorfa the central pairing. New full backs with some pace

One of the few who cares deeply for the club and left it all out there today too - does he have a future here?

These type of things are one of my pet hates.

All that is missing is the 'Great servant to the club' nonsense.

If we want to move forward we have to move on from resigning fans favourites.

Big No from me.

It's a no from me.

We need a clean slate.

That said he might have a clause is  contract if he plays enough games he gets another. (Sure I read that)

Question is, would he want it? Keep or not keep. We are discounting if he would be interested in the first place!

Let's FFS just for once have a massive clear-out at this club.

We've been promising season after season to do it and we never ever get on with it.

Sam has tried his best since coming back mid-season but just move on now.

Keep Bannan (if possible because there will be bids from the Championship).

Iorfa

Urhoghide

Windass

Palmer

Odubajo

Wildsmith

Then bring new players or loans

No. Not mobile enough. Part of the losing mentality that shrouds the club.

This is what I don't get..how he is part of the losing mentality or 'part of the problem'? or is that just all players who have played within the last 18 months since we've been crap? Can we not have a few positive leaders at the club? His performances on the pitch, attitude on the pitch and interviews give the impression he's a very positive figure at the club.

We have just got relegated, not sure if that's the positive attitude we are after myself.

Must be watching different games to some people. Not saying he has been terrible but average at best.
