Why the hate for ELEV8?

Are you sure about that? A quick google search and Chelsea have always been Adidas or Nike in the last decade.

Leicester been Adidas for a number of years.

Southampton are made by Under Armour. Coventry are Hummel. Roma I believe are New Balance?

All established brands.

Not sure you’re correct with any of these actually.

You need to learn to better read posts and learn how to Google.

I didn’t say this was all contemporary.

I’d say you’ve had a mare with that post, Sal.

Chelsea - 1980’s.

Leicester - 1992-2000

Southampton - 1999-2008

Dortmund - 2000-02

Betis - 2009-10

And St. Pauli is doing is next season. And Roma is planning on it for 2022.

I move a lot of concrete on the QVC.

Also a google search shows that Burrda is an actual Swiss based Sports brand that has also manufactured Wolves kits and numerous Rugby League teams.

So completely different to Elev8 which is exclusive to Sheffield Wednesday!

Try again, Chief. I wasn’t talking about Burrda.

I was referencing Fox Leisure. 1992-2000.

So in short - nobody is really doing it anymore? You’ve named a select few clubs, a couple of which did it 20/30 years ago.

My original point was - if it’s such a successful model then why aren’t more clubs doing it (think it’s pretty clear this was in reference to modern day). The fact is they’re not. And if it was genuinely an attempt to get round FFP and pump money into the club - failed miserably hasn’t it? We’re skint and have had numerous embargo’s and a points deduction.

Well maybe it would have been an even bigger embargo or a bigger points deduction without it.

Reyt.

Thank GOD Chansiri decided to come up with Elev8 or it could have been a super embargo and 15 points instead of 6.

All hail Chansiri. Bloke is a genius.

Fool's logic: imagine how bad it would've been if we hadn't!

I like the idea of an ‘even bigger embargo’ would the EFL turn up with a van and start taking players away?
Now I think about it, it might be a good idea!!

Think Southampton also wore their own kit 2014/15 season.

Think Gillingham's are still made in house.

Bristol City did until this season.

Well there’s absolutely no evidence it is true.

The cynic in me suggests it was absolutely nothing to do with pumping money into the club. Hardly any money has been pumped in since 2017. To me it was just a vanity project.

Well there’s absolutely no evidence it is false.

Personally, I think the ELEV8 kits are good quality (much better materials and feel than other recent manufacturers like Sondico and Puma) and have been good designs. Other items like jackets and hoodies are comfortable also. Yes, the prices are expensive, but they are competitive with most EFL clubs and nearly exclusively every Championship club. Is the hate just because it is something linked to Chansiri, because Blades have an Adidas contract or is there another reason?

100% agree, we have loads of decent stuff in the shop for the first time ever, before Elev8 thats what people used to moan about, now its the fact its all sh1tte, which it isn't....our fans just love to moan..

Gillingham is Macron I believe?

Bristol City was different https://www.bristol-sport.co.uk/news/bristol-city-vice-chairman-discusses-the-clubs-independent-kit-making/

Also sponsored a number of sports teams in Bristol.
