Watching this game tonight is like watching on x16 compared to yesterday.
Incredible how wide the gap is these days in quality and pace

I watched WHU  v  pigs  and  Weeds  v  Arsenal earlier today and none of those sides impressed me much.

Most other games in the championship seem like that, compared to watching us.

Yes the gap is enormous.

Just the basic things like controlling a ball, finding a pass and getting the ball quickly out of your feet when you receive it.

Our players can’t do the basics.

without even contemplating playing between the lines, or making runs in between the CB and the FB, and other such alien concepts

Love that cliche

“playing between the lines “

Its one of the things people say to make them look like they know things

Strangely enough I have never heard a top manager say it

Depends who you consider a top manager. I’m guessing you’re more likely to hear, stop messin, get in the mix

Weeds v Arsenal impressed me. Arsenal showed how to play with ten men.  There was a stat flashed up that showed they've played 90 games in the Prem with players sent off.  Incredibly they've won more than they've lost, out of those matches.

Prob cos they didn’t sit back n defend for 73 mins like us.

Managers/coaches say playing between the lines or breaking the lines ALL THE TIME.

Klopp, Rogers, Guardiola will reference it often.

You wont have heard it referenced from Pulis because he doesn't coach football.
