Klopp going out sad

A far cry from the manager I thought he was. Literally seemed the best manager to work under. Now it seems like he’s great to be around when you’re winning, but awful when losing

Well we don't know what he is like in private at any point but I doubt he's a barrel of laughs considering his Mum has just died and he can't go to the funeral cos he's here with a team that are doing rubbish as the club didn't buy anyone in the transfer market that was any good.

Klopp’s created his own issues with the back line. No team could replace VVD.

His solution was to play his best 2 midfielders at centre half. Not only did that leave them significantly understrength in the back line, it affected their whole set up.

What would you have done?

Kept The heartbeat of the title winning team in place. Played 2 natural centre backs and, dropped the full backs into a more defensive role.

Watch TAA this season, Man U in the cup is a prime example. 20 yards out of position every time United won the ball. Left the young centre half 1v1 against Rashford all game.

The defenders were obviously beyond his control, as if he would be wanting a Preston defender

Seems you are a bit quick to absolve Klopp of any blame in this.

Last summer he was happy to see Lovren go and also allowed another CB, Hoever to go to Wolves. Liverpool spent £60M on Jota & Thiago and a further £12M on a reserve left-back, they chose not to bring in another CB, knowing that Matip is more injury prone than Luongo.

If he had really wanted a CB on January 1st do you think the club would not have made funds available? And if this had been the case do you not think the outspoken Klopp might have mentioned it?

Fabihno and Henderson were a big part of Liverpool's success last season with their closing down and effective passing to the front 3. Having their reading of the game and ability to cover the attack-minded full-backs was key.  By playing them at the back they have lost a big part of what made them successful going forward and they have struggled attack-wise as much as they have missed Van Dijk at the back as a result.

“As a football fan you can sit at home and think: ‘They have to do something.’ But that’s not how it works. We see the situation. We lost probably two of the best centre-halves in the whole market in a period of six-seven weeks. For the whole season. That’s massive. And then you have to find solutions in that moment. The winter transfer market opens and everyone says: ‘Now you can do something.’ We try. We see the situation. We don’t close our eyes. But while we are doing that we have to find solutions and play football.”

Great answer.

They have failed to find the right solutions and are now out of the top 4, he accepts plenty of responsibility for it so not sure why you choose to absolve him of it.

He wanted Koulibaly they gave him Ben Davies.

Just because he wanted Koulibaly doesn't mean they have a right to get him in a winter mid-season window. Many other clubs will also have wanted him. Do you seriously think Liverpool would not have been open to getting someone else?

Also fails to address why he was happy to let 2 centre-backs leave in the summer and bring in none at that point when spending over £70M elsewhere, including £12M on a back-up left-back.

He has chosen to play Henderson and Fabinho at the back and it has affected the entire performance of the team.

He will take a leaf out of our book next time and sign several center halves

Sold two in the summer and signed none despite spending £70M+ on 3 players, 2 of which have not made an impact. Never raised any inclination of a desire to bring in a CB at that point, happy to rely on 3 senior players in that position, tow of which don't have a great injury record.

Then chooses to play his best two midfielders in defence which affects the whole set up of the team. Subsequently complains about the club not spending £100M on a 29-year old CB in January.

Completely blameless.
