Can we get back to this?

Recommended Posts

Positive, exciting football gets the fans going.

Fans will get behind this team if we play on the front foot and go at teams - no set up with 1 up top.

With Harris, Murphy, Reach, Windass, Bannan, Wickham and hopefully Fletcher in our forward attack - we have more riches than most in this league.

PLEASE Monk - let the defensive shackles off and f*cking attack this league. We’ll back you.

I do anything to relive that play off final day, never experienced an atmosphere like it, everyone was so positive and it just felt like we couldn’t lose, singing for the full 90 mins and about 2 hours before

Best footballing day of my life

Played in the right way - we should be able to pull some decent results

I feel Monk is so defensively minded that we darent go all out attack

Surely the new boys has got to bring a new mood in the camp - we’ve got to go for it, it’s now or never

As a fan base we love it when we are doing well. We’re fun, and really get behind the team. In that respect we are not alone.

When things are going badly we leave the stadium ten minutes early instead of the normal five and hope that sends a strongly worded message, whilst at the same time bending over a little bit more to facilitate deeper ramming in the form of ticket price increases and bizarre schemes and absurd transfers.

We are the most apathetic of fans when it comes to protesting against bad management. Even now there are fans thanking DC for a day out at Wembley, the end result of which could see us back in League One within a couple of years. It blows my mind.

So do something about it or are you to apathetic?

There are plenty on here who don't like the way the club is been run.  Why not set up a thread so you can all get together and challenge the status quo instead of spoiling the feel good threads.

Where's your protest, Woody Guthrie?

All hat, no cattle.

Cracking atmosphere.  Although that Huddersfield game is a bad example of positive, attacking football.  We should have buried them but were so negative and one-dimensional. Classic Wednesday.

FA Cup final this year though, be reyt

I know I'm missing the point here, but you can play attacking football with 1 up top.

Maybe so

But it doesn’t work for us clearly - struggling against Millwall is a desperate sign we need to switch it up

Nothing to lose now - we must go out and win games, clock is ticking for Monk

Of course you can.

Most of the top teams play a 4-3-3 system.

Problem with us how we play within said system.

Ends up becoming a very negative 4-5-1.

We played horribly in both of those games. But I agree with the sentiment.

We Need to get the wingers in the right areas and support the striker Firstly creating in effect a 4-3-3 when we have the ball.

The second problem which isn't as easy to fix is down to the midfield we have available.

Joey dosent score goals or get into the opposition box and  is not attack minded.

Hutch is very similar.

Bazza also very similar, but is hopeless in front of goal.

Lee's engine isn't there anymore and isn't chipping in with goals like he used to (or so it seems, so same as above)

We've only Loungo who seems to get forward into the box.

In summery it's hard to play attacking football when we don't really have any attacking options in midfield.

Yeah, sorry the health problems I’m battling through with my brain, heart, messed up joints and extreme pain for the last two years have kinda pushed football down my list of priorities.

You don’t know what other people are going through.
