All joking aside it seems that DC has used some creative accounting to help swerve FFP, while it may seem a clever move this is akin to remortgaging your house with no backup available if it all goes belly up.

If SB does go to Newcastle then DC must get the next managerial appointment absolutely right because if we dont get the promised land then we are up the creek without a paddle.

Critical times.

But yep barring the stadium sale we would have almost breached the £39m limit over 3 seasons in one season

the cumulative should now be below that figure - again cannot directly do this as there are FFP adjustments

You are right

It does include £10m on the amortisation of player contracts

So the day to day operational loss was £25m

MK, please no, don't do this to me.

You're saying that our operating losses over the last 3 years have gone (roughly and from probably bad memory), ~£12m, ~£18m, ~£25m?

How on earth did we go from losing £20m in 17 to losing £35m in 18?

Spending more but £10m is player contracts being written off

Will help but don't believe for a minute we can spend without significant sales.

Remember FFP over 3 year period, yes made £2m profit in 2018 accounts, but lost £20m in 2017 and likely lost £at least £20m in year to 31/7/2019 so will still be a £38m loss over 3 years

It's a 3 year rolling period though, as the 2017 loss drops off, replaced by a profit for 2018.

We've also slashed the wage bill this summer, should give us some wriggle room and back on a reasonably even keel next season.
