No one coming in....

Recommended Posts

The tabloid/gutter press have cottoned on to Twitter rumours being enough to warrant an article.

Either these are fake accounts stirring rubbish to sell made up stories or they are sad losers.

Either way if the twitter account ends in “Journo” then it’s bull.

Bruce starting on the 1st Feb basically confirms this season is a write off and all the business we will be doing shall be in summer.

That's the depressing part, not knowing exactly where we stand in relation to the competition. Part of me feels like if DC could cough up another £10million, sell the likes of Rhodes and trust Bruce to bring in 3/4 integral core quality players we would be right back in the mix :manager:..

However the other part of me thinks the majority of the squad is totally past in and we should just sell the very core of the squad we've tried to build around and start again....even if that means the next 2 years being bottom feeders (Ipswich) of the division.

Like you say, depends on our standing with FFP....I feel like Bruce might be forced into selling a couple of our star players just to keep them at bay.

Indeed - like Big Ron did in 1989, we will have to 'wheel and deal' our way out of this. Is Bruce the right manage to do this, will need to be seen.

They may be more 'creative accountancy' from DC in the coming months to allow Bruce more flexibility in doing this effectively, which hopefully means by August we can all sit up a look forward to a new campaign.

Firstly, no change to this squad, and it's a long dark rest of the season.

Secondly, no way on gods earth would Bruce come in and oversee this shower, without being allowed to improve the squad.

If at least 2 players don't come in, I'll wear a lime green mankini on the kop, and blow Tango.

Pics please. :goalie:

Possibly - but choosing to come in the day after the transfer window closes means he may therefore, have to wait uniti May to start this process.

You honestly think SB is having no contact with the club until 1sr Feb. So he's just gonna walk into the training ground that day asking, "so then lads,  how we getting on then?"

Why do people fall for this nonsense?

So many Muppets on Twitter hanging on every word a 12 year old makes up in his bedroom.

It's kinda fun though, especially on a boring wet and windy Sunday night.

I've seen Rasta Mouse and what with Bruce just having returned from the scouting trip at the cricket trying to unearth the next JJ I'd be fully expecting a "waa gwaan" as his opening gambit to the lads. Not quite sure what Matias will make of it all.

I can see the reasoning behind little or no activity in this window with the rebuilding starting in the summer.  BUT there’s the little matter of season ticket sales. A couple of interesting signings in the window may just make people part with their cash. A dull window and limping towards the seasons end may make people think twice?

Nobody coming in, so far, in this current January Transfer Window, but, the Window ain't closed yet.  Still, probabilities are low that Bruce is going to want to buy new players before he has a chance to evaluate his "in stock" options, over the course of ~4 months...even if Chansiri were allowed to spend to HIS limit, rather than that mandated by FFP.

During the off-season is probably when any fundamental changes to the Squad will occur, and such changes are highly probable given the new Manager.  Who knows what will happen?  But something will...Bruce is English, he knows the deal, in the Boardroom or on the Pitch, and he knows how demanding the Fans are.
