Its all well and good us speculating on a new gaffer but unless DC has a radical rethink of his hiring/firing policy it could well be too by the time he acts.

Alarming times.

How long is a piece of string

I'm all in favour of giving a manager a chance.

Jos did amazingly the first few months, avoiding relegation with an extensive injury list.

Now he has more players at his disposal he appears to be struggling.

I don't expect miracles overnight but I do think it's reasonable to start to see signs of progress by now.

Worringly we appear to be going backwards.

I presume you thought we should get rid 5 games ago when we were in top 6?

In fairness it did feel a false position.

We conceded very few goals relative to chances created and had a rediculously high conversion rate v opportunities.

That state of affairs couldn't continue and the good fortune enjoyed up to that point has now evaporated.

I want to give Jos a chance, but I do want to see progress.

More clean sheets would be a solid place to start.

I do appreciate he has had his hands tied in the transfer market and that does need factoring in.

Perhaps the longer term picture is that the kids will come good in the end and we all need to be more patient.

I just hope we don't get relegated in the process.

Try replacing the 'good fortune' with bad defending or poor finishing - we could easily have been 7-11 points better off out of the four defeat run we had.

Agree with your last five lines though.

So if you were in DC's shoes how long would you persevere with Jos ?
