Also doubt Murphy would relish a mid table slog in favour of an automatic promotion push. We need to be at that end of the table to get those players.

At the end of the day. We both play championship football and have a statues ( Club wise ) as big as West Broms in the championship and arguably a better manager.

All about the amount of money on offer.

He is still going to play the same number of games there as here and we could quite easily win as many as West Brom between now and the end of the season.

More about style that he will play and if it suits his development more than being at a team top of the league.

If half of the Championship are put into an embargo the transfer market will take a big hit. League 1 & 2 clubs often rely on selling their better players to the Championship in order to survive. Those opportunities will be fewer & the fees they do receive are likely to be less.

If half the clubs are up against it on P & S wages and transfer fees will be forced to drop. If half the clubs are desperate to get rid of players the clubs with money won't have to pay much to get the players they need. It will become a vicious circle., lower transfer fees and lower wages. Eventually it should put clubs on a sound footing.

Well that's the theory, let's see how it works out.

I wouldn't fancy owning a division 2 club though.
