So did Jeremy Helan. So I ain't getting carried away just yet.

lol

Him and JJ might have been so frustrating to watch ,and unreliable , but at least we had pace with them in the team.

If pace was everything Ronaldo and Messi would have been sulking and abandoning Ballon D'or awards because Theo Walcott kept winning year in, year out

Didn't do us any good though did it. Must have end product and a level of consistency to go with it. Even more so now.

Exactly Walcott is a perfect example of my comment about end product and a level of consistency.

I'm on your side with this mate, pace is not the be all and end all of footy. Take Ross Wallce, no pace, but his shooting and delivery were legit awesome, and created more chances and goal than for us than if he had ran down the wing, past the full back, and crossed it into row RR

All depends how we use that pace.

Helan was very good a relieving the pressure when we were defending as he could stride up the pitch and get us up there quickly by carrying the ball. But he wasn't so useful the other end of the pitch.

Think this maybe how Aarons is used more on the counter attack as i don't think he is better than what we already have to start every week.

The two full backs at interesting as I am convinced Bruce is gonna use his Hull template formation with us and the two full backs up and down the pitch were a major part of there success.

Nice to see the Leeds deal for James from Swansea fell through. Looks a quality player.

Laughing at Leeds fans waiting outside Elland Road in the cold and Dan James having to drive back down to Swansea.

They’ll have had an unveiling video ready for him on Twitter lol

Asked Steve Bruce about the lack of pace in the #SWFC squad: "You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to realise that we need an injection of pace and energy. We need a few more younger ones. It won’t happen overnight but that has to be the aim." New additions should help this.

Good hear that he's so on the ball about the squad's strengths and deficiencies - the weaknesses have been ignored for far too long so this needs to change now, hopfeully Bruce is the man to do it.

Sadly it’s a different ball game when you are a top 6 side in January, you can afford and attract decent players. We thought we had when we signed £10m+ Rhodes + Winnall. Other teams were probably thinking wow, Wednesday have 7 strikers - they are going for it.

As Bruce says, there will be 10-12 clubs in the summer in the same situation as us if they don’t get promoted. So it may become more of a level playing field.

Lets try and get 10-15 points out of the games in march all against teams we should beat though in the past have struggled against these types of team and see where we are come beginning of March. 4-6 points of the play offs with 10-12 games left you would fancy your chances

Ipswich (a), Reading (h), Millwall (a), Rotherham (h), Swansea (h), Brentford (h)

Efe Ambrose has to choose between Derby, Boro and Sheffield Wednesday. Currently training with Derby, who are favourites to land him. They currently only have 2 fit centre backs

Do we need him.? Lees and Hector doing a magnificent job there. And Thorniley is a more than capable backup.
