Surprised so many have chosen Boyd. I've not been impressed with him at all.

Season before last he played almost every minute for Burnley in the Prem.

27 games RW

9 games LW

Has to be good enough to do a good job as RWB for us a year on.

To be honest there's not a lot of choice for the left wing back position, I've picked him in the hope that's he's fitter and more the Boyd of old.

Not ideal granted, but sooner have him there for the offensive side of things than Fox for the defensive.

Why not Boyd at RWB?

He has played more on the right than left thru his career, and we have a superb LWB in Reach.

I think his team will be

                    Keeper

Palmer Lees JVA Thorniley Boyd

          Hutch Joey Bannan

                   Nuhiu FF

That's quite a gap between mid field and the forwards.

If this isn’t close to being the line up tomorrow, I’ll be disappointed

The above was working in Jos’ preferred formation but I think the following could work too. Depends on the fullbacks

                  Westwood

      Palmer Lees Van Aken Pudil

              Hutchinson Bannan

Joao.         Forestieri.        Reach

                    Nuhiu

I’d like to see us go with three up front, but from what we’ve seen pre season, I think it will be your selection In the games, at both first team, and U23, it’s been 3-5-2 all the way Not convinced this gets the best out of the front two, but Jos does seem the cautious type

:picnic:

Reach is not a 'superb' LWB. He can't defend for toffee and makes any 50/50 more of a 90/10 and not in his favour!

mine (3-1-3-3) - we don't have the wingbacks to play 3-5-2

Westwood

Lees

JVA

Pudil

Hutch

Bannan

Reach

Pelupessy (would be Lee)

Forrestieri

Joao

Fletcher

His:

Dawson

Palmer

Lees

JVA

Pudil

Reach

Bannan

Hutch

Pelupessy

Forrestieri

Nuhiu

Will be conservative, slow, frustrating, ponderous, dull and safe(fish) all season. Finish 17th.

THAT is how predictable Jos is.
