Just been announced via their twitter.

I think he goes to those to avoid compo - a month down the line an English club gets him for £100-250k for Pearson's trouble - english club save £££'s

Big Nige and Hirst been doing deals???

Why does Hirst want to avoid "compo"?

Edit - for the reason you explained haha

There will be no compensation required.

I suspect after a year, maybe more he will be confirmed as a Leicester player.

We have been royally screwed.

maybe the case but not like any English club were going to have to pay 5 million for him. Compo would have reached 750k at best.

Not £5m no maybe not - but looking at previous youth internationals with no league games behind them it would be over £1m.

Leicester can now get him for nothing - plus he could have a year under Pearson to get him - if he scores goals they could have a £5m player for nothing.

Raises serious questions again about conflicts. Owning multiple clubs, agents deciding who can move where and “adopting clubs”. Managers and players represented by the same company.

Yet people say “you can’t argue with a loop hole”. Isn’t there meant to be a point to developing players and encouraging clubs to do it?

So George Hirst wasn't solely motivated by money after all then?!

Well he damn sure didn't thnk 'you know what, my career right now needs a good spell in the Belgian second division', so something smells...

I cannot read Belgium but if thats true that is simple classic.

Well play for playing the rule and getting a good prospect for next to nothing - I bet DC wishes he took the £2m Leicester offer for him a while back.
