He's been dealt a rough hand with injuries, form, confidence and so on, but he has shown almost next to nothing in terms of being able to rouse a team into a coherent unit.  I'm not talking about barking at them from the touchline, but there is no identity to his football, at least what he's served us up so far.  They aren't playing like a team.  He's not managed to galvanise any sort of  spirit, seen very little in terms of proactive game management - we've either been ultra-defensive anti-football, or wide-open loose football.

Sign of a good manager is being able to pull some results out of adverse situations.  Not a play-off run, but even with the players he had, mid-table safety should have been the target weeks ago.  Instead, we're probably going to stay up by the way of the bottom 4-5 showing no signs of life.

It's no base to build on for next season.

Your analysis is spot on mate.

But the comment about identity got me thinking - how can we expect our chairman to pick a manager who 'fits' the club (this doesn't necessarily mean an ex player or Englishman) when he thinks this is appropriate:

And more to the point, so do we seemingly.

If he stays and we get off to a bad start the negativity will just spiral out of control.

I don't blame Jos tbh, I blame those that chose him. Chansiri ain't got a clue about football. Its like the Mrs n cooking, yer try but don't know what yer doing.

It's definitely not jos fault. It's all down to a chairman with no clue whatsoever

Don’t think we should be too critical of trying something different tonight, all the games we have remaining are pretty much dead rubbers.

Never use a dead rubber.

We can be thankful for that at least.

They don't pick the squad or play in the matches either.

Maybe we should shut the forum down and start a new one where every one just talks about their day jobs or the kids

It may be an attempt to find his best role. He has not starred as expected anywhere else and we are short of good fit midfielders.

Yes and Reach aint the answer  , Its clear he is good going onto the ball when its in front of him , when it comes to him with his back to goal he has not got a clue , and 50/50 challenges  I would back my missus in them

We need a manager who knows this division. And one who can speak fluent English and therefore communicate his tactics.

Oh... you mean like Nuno Espirito Santo at the runaway leaders?

Or David Wagner last season?

And of the last 24 teams relegated from the Championship, 22 of them had British managers for all or most of the season. Couldn't be bothered to look back any further.

Too right. Carlos did OK but went past his sell by date.

Jos will be fine once he gets his own squad and a summer to get it fit and ready.

Still jerking yourself off over that are you?

I think I acknowledged you had a point.

I still would like a bit more common sense from our chairman though.

Out for me. Despite the injuries and aside from a blip when we won a couple on the bounce he has failed to galvanise the players into performing consistently. Should he be trusted with what little funds we have and a pre-season. Probably not.

Its a sorry state at this club if we sack jos we have to start again and if we keep him its a huge gamble with a fresh new season.

Carlos should have beenfucked off after the hudd game but DC didnt have the know how and balls to do it.

Its okay though, he will be saying how much he is part of the family and how much time he is away from his family at the next steering meeting....all will be fine again .
