@owlstalk
Anyone remember Simon Coleman? What do you remember about him and anyone know what he's up to these days? http://amzn.to/2jkOdzF Owlstalk Shop
Lord Snooty
Another random Francis signing. For a manager so obsessed with pace, we didn't half start accumulating a lot of slow players. Coleman. Centre half. Sometimes absolutley terrorised at full back. Bizarre signing.

cowl
We seemed to start signing players that were unlikely to ever amount to anything other than squad players, rather than looking at players with genuine potential to push and ultimately take over from an excellent but ageing first 11. I like Trevor. I do. But I think it was too much too soon. And that their were some huge personalities in that dressing room and it was too much to handle. He brought some superb players. But also some dross. I always put it this way. With £2m to spend Ron would probably buy two excellent £1m players. Trevor would spend £1.9m on a good one and £100k on a dreadful back up. Stoop
Another one of Francis’ signings that saw him transform us from one of the best in the land to also rans. But even now people still think the sun shone out of his arse

I think that we agree on the main points and I do agree with your point too much too soon . I also believe Dave Richards wanting a fa job was also a contributing factor in in our slide
theowlsman
Wasn’t Francis cutting his teeth in management for the firts time with us? There was bound to be a learning curve and we suffered as a consequence. Should’ve gone for a more experienced manager.

When at QPR he famously fined Martin Allen for attending the birth of his first child.

To be fair, I wouldn’t have wanted Martin Allen at the birth of my first child either.

PopePiusX
I remember Simon Coleman very well. He was dreadful. He now earns a crust spraying pubic hair onto blow-up dolls. He is a virgin.

Exactly, although I don’t think it was just Trevor, it was also the case under Pleat and Wilson
