IstillhateSteveBould
In fact he's more defensive than Gray. At least Gray was brave enough to play with 2 strikers Edited August 29, 2015 by IstillhateSteveBould
Cersei
After five games last season with a far worse squad we were talking about having a go at top six..... Very hard to ignore this. I don't think we had two months this bad under our Stu. Forget Forestieri and let's get Jacques Maghoma back as well Don't be a silly sausage. Guest Theboylangers
From what I've seen so far CC is just as defensive as Gray This.
The Batman
And yet, so far no calls for "come back Dave Jones" ....who only just 3 years ago did almost exactly the same thing that Carlos Carvalhal is now doing. The results of last seasons team weren't the best - at home - but we had the formula away from home. Has CC dissected last seasons team too much too soon? Don't think CC had much choice, IMO we'd have rebuilt the squad regardless of who was appointed Manager. New personnel for a new era with new targets. Whoever came in would have the same challenge of moulding a group of strangers into a team as quickly as possible. Another 2 joined today and maybe there'll be more comings and goings before the deadline. I think we have to be patient and accept big changes like this will mean disjointed performances for a while. CC should be judged on how quickly he does get us playing as a team, once the rebuild is complete.

dorian gray
Come back Alan Irvine at this rate be a right 'test series' that, make it a ten game series... after all it would be a while before either one got over half way, then with 'very' limited numbers... or intent... Cersei
Cc doesn't know his best 11, best back 4, what formation or what striker to play. His results get worse as do performances and the players are not gelling because there is no consistency.

SiJ
Let's get him back...we need someone to paint that flippin west stand roof. What did Stuart Gray do to deserve a remark like that?
Bluesteel
It's odd really. I was convinced we got rid of gray because he wanted to buy British and we wanted to exploit the foreign market. That hasn't happened and we have built on last seasons side. Time will tell but at the moment it hasn't seemed like a trade up.
bigthinrob
Welcome to the 'Bi Polar' forum. Last year it was in meltdown slagging Stuart Gray off for his tactics, - boring - unadventurous, would be sacked by xmas, never wanted him in the first place, - bring back Megson. Now 6 games into the season, completely new style, completely new personnel. (and incidentally not the abysmal quality that Dave Jones' clear out produced), we are back to square one. Hasn't got a clue, players no better than last year. Really???? More defensive than last year! Bring back Stuart Gray! If the answer eventually turns out not to be Carvalhal (and let's judge it after a reasonable time), the answer won't be to revisit previous incumbents. Let's move on. Oh hang on, this is Sheffield isn't it!!!!
nevthelodgemoorowl
Two weeks to work on things. A new CB and LB; A new Attacking MF and strong possibilities of a new CF. I don't think our prospects have been any brighter for more than 15 years. It will take a little time though !
Cersei
This threads tongue in cheek tbh but it has been one step forward two steps back. I want CC to succeed. I also like his suits and thought gray was too into wearing jammies.
