Of course, the drooling idiots over at pigsmad made a meal of this. Dark days indeed. This must not happen again. King Carlos is here to guide us now though and we have made some sexy, sexy signings. We should be giving the new talent a run out on the park today and let our fans witness a footballing master class. FUN FACTS I have never been to Alfreton, unless travelling through on the motorway bypass on the way to Matlock counts. Not sure why we even went to Matlock actually. I was only 7 so didn't really have much say on matter and it was rubbish. Alfreton is probably just as bad. THE IMPORTANT BIT Venue: North Street Stadium (Ha!) When: 3 PM Matchday Apparel: The new home shirt, even if they are three hundred quid a pop. Matchday Drink: Ice cold Rosé with or without a splash of mineral water - it's going to be hot. Matchday Pie: A light chicken salad. Matchday Song: Come As You Are by Cool Hipnoise - a Portuguese reggae band... MATCH FACTS Alfreton play in the 17th division so we don't play them that often. Head to Head Carlos has much talent at his disposal. I've no idea who their manager is but one of the players is called Karl Hawley, who might be vaguely related to the popular musician and fellow Owl, Richard. MINTYNESS LEVEL Yep. Still minted. Bit disappointed that I won't be able to attend today (it's been a long summer without football, so yes, I'm desperate) but off to York next Saturday all being well. This game should basically amount to a run-out for the U21s with a few first teamers making some cameos.
