So it looks like the Sporting Director Committee will end up like this:

Carlos Carvahal

Glenn Roeder

Paul Senior

Jonathan Hill

And the Head Coach will be:

Mark Cooper

Carlos Carvahal will be the guy that's in charge of the football side of things. He'll decide on where the club goes, what direction it takes, the philosophy etc.

Roeder will be the glorified Head Scout. He'll go out and watch the players Carvahal is interested in.

Paul Senior will be the link to Chansiri. He'll be the guy that looks after Chansiri's money, making sure it's spent wisely.

Jonathan Hill will be the Academy Director so to speak. He'll be the Academy staff's boss, and will look to get players through the academy and into the development squad. He's there to make the club sustainable.

The Head Coach will be the disposable option. They'll carry out the roles defined by Carvahal. They'll pick the players, and ultimately, they'll be the ones who get all the plaudits if were successful, but also, they'll be the one who gets the bullet if we're not.

Don't think it's that barmy. It certainly could work. But it does seem that Carvahal is the major cog in the machine.

Paul Senior's whole career has been as an academy/development squad scout, talent spotting young players - so why you think he'll be in charge of looking after the financials I've no idea

Just going off what is on the OS.

He clearly has other attributes that could be utilised, but it's clear according to the description on the OS, he's the link between the committee and Chansiri.

" Sheffield Wednesday announced the appointment of Paul Senior as an advisor to the chairman, Dejphon Chansiri.

Senior has previously worked for Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic in a number of operational and strategic roles"
