A modest gamble for a prem club like Villa, but colossal sums for ourselves. QPR's recruitment is always haphazard at best. So nobody can say much about Danny Mayor having hardly seen him play. But just because he's league 2's POTY doesn't mean he is or isn't good enough. He scored 12 goals and contributed 18 assists in NEC's promotion to the Ere Divisie. Celtic have been linked to him and had him scouted but haven't made an offer yet. He's got a year left on his contract and he'd be available for around £1mill, if he could be enticed to the Championship and be able to get a work permit, unless of course if Celtic follow up their interest and sign him.
