Wolfmanjack
The Everton - Ipswich game was brilliant. A time when the game wasn't played by prima donna's, people were allowed to tackle, and we didn't have the embarrassing sight of players collapsing, rolling around in agony, every time the opposition players so much as looked at them. shandypants
I was at the Derby vs Wednesday game. I can remember thinking that I was unlikely to see a goal like Harkes' in those sort of circumstances again.
Wolfmanjack
Difference was that in those days we didn't have thirty seven different camera angles, putting ridiculous pressure on officials, and the TV companies hadn't yet persuaded us that officials weren't actually allowed to make mistakes.
