@owlstalk
Sheffield Wednesday are delighted to announce that the club have introduced a new in-box dining option for our executive box holders and their guests on matchdays. Executive box holders currently enjoy their pre-match meal from one of the adjacent executive restaurants before moving into their boxes to enjoy the game. This new dining option will allow guests to enjoy the superb three-course pre meal within the complete privacy of the executive box itself with a full waitress service provided throughout the day. This will help create the perfect environment to entertain important clients or enjoy the company of friends and family in privacy. As part of your VIP executive hospitality box experience, you and your guests will also receive a complimentary drinks allowance of £75 to enjoy during your visit to Hillsborough. Each hospitality box has its own private seating area directly outside with executive padded match seats ensuring guests are close to the atmosphere whilst enjoying superb panoramic views of the pitch. All executive box guests receive a complimentary copy of the official matchday programme and official team sheet. Half time and full time refreshments are served within your private box facility. All of our executive box holders receive three matchday car parking spaces in Hillsborough Park, which is located close to the main hospitality entrance, providing easy access to the facilities. Half Season VIP Hospitality Box packages are now available from just £12,600+VAT and include the final 12 Championship league games of the season plus the first FA Cup game should the Owls be drawn at home. Prices are based on ten guests and provide superb value. Individual match bookings are now being taken for our next three Championship games against Wigan, Wolves and Blackpool. Guest mkowl
Having been a guest in a box on a few occasions it is an enjoyable experience but it doesn't feel special especially given the relative cost. I know the lad who hosted it got to do other corporate events and the other lot across town were better but neither were comparable with Donny Racecourse Rather sit in kop wi mi pie ta. Its worth it for the parking space these days
hasthagotanycheese
One major problem is that great big window facing the pitch. Having to put up with seeing something so bland and unpalatable after a 3 course meal is going to give most folk severe indigestion.

Guest Deleted member
assume this is to free up space in the restaurant -not a bad idea With that in mind, you'd think the cost would be a little cheaper, as it allows us to now sell another table with seats in the grandstand Having said that, the facilities and food are tremendous this season. The boxes are desperate for a overhaul though, they look like Travelodge bedrooms at the moment
***HIRSTY***
I bet you still can't drink in the box when the match is in play. flippingbeeeezaaaare! It's nothing to do with the club though, nothing they can do about it. The Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc) Act 1985 prohibits consuming alcohol within view of the pitch. lloydswfc
Wednesday have (finally, thanks to the new COO) realised that the law only prevents you from consuming alcohol whilst in view of the pitch. Therefore, the blinds that are fixed to the window of each box are now drawn 15 minutes prior to kick off to allow box holders to continue to drink throughout the game. You still can't drink and watch the game, but I'd say that's an advantage these days..!
Arthur Bach
A step in the right direction. You gotta make it special, esepcially for returning visitors.
***HIRSTY***
Wednesdayite should fund a massive Venetian for the Kop.
lloydswfc
I have to say, the main reason this will either be a success or failure will be down to the waitress service. It's absolutely nothing against the staff, who given their age, lack of experience and pay do a great job. However, often the service (given the price) is embarrassing and will be further highlighted when you're sat in your box waiting for someone to take your drinks order or to serve your food. gurujuan
Been in a few times and in all honesty, it's a bit naff. Don't know whether they use agency staff, but they haven't got a clue.
Guest wilyfox
I hope the box windows have curtains, cos ya won't wanna see what's served up on the pitch at the moment.
Arthur Bach
Who needs a 3 course meal on a satday at 14.30? They shud fill yer wi booze then have a 2 course meal at 17.00 We've often sat down and been served as early as one o' clock... Think they prefer the staggered approach. We were onto our desserts when everyone else were coming back from the tours which we never both with now.
Road Runner
What if you want a waiter instead of a waitress? Will this make it cheaper?
