Guest tha_knows
Some weird results yesterday, I had two bets Bristol City let me down for 420 and another only 130 but Tranmere let me down, after been 2-0 up and seemingly cruising!!

Liam_Baggies
Did that include the Baggies draw at St Marys ? No matey - never have Albion in my acca. Might do the same for Wednesday now I have an acca every week - as well as my horses. I then always have a Wednesday/Albion double. Would have won £40 had Albion won. Stoop
I'd be seriously gutted I once nearly won £1200 but spurs could only muster a draw at home to Wigan (the year after smashing em 9 0) Came close last season too but Wednesday couldn't beat a 10 man Yeovil at home
nevthelodgemoorowl
I must say that was very brave, though most Owls are wise enough to leave Wednesday alone. I didn't know many who expected better than a 1-0 defeat yesterday !
mike312
I have an accumulator and a one off bet every week. I've never won loads but I have won more than I ever won in years playing the lottery.
OhForAnotherShez
I've never bet at the bookies, but noticed if I ever bet a work mate (in the 70s) for a positive Wednesday result, they would always let me down. So when we were struggling to stay out of the 4th in the 70s, after 3-3 at home to Chesterfield, I tried to bring us a bit of luck and put £30 on us to go down with the 'works bookie'. Delighted to say, it worked, I lost, and £30 was worth a bit then! So SOMETIMES you can bet against Wednesday - if they need a bit of luck. Davidioso
As we're sharing betting stories.... I once won 1,000 quid by mistake. Went to watch Chelski v Man Citeh with a mate a few years back. Backed Chelsea to win 4-2, but filled in the betting slip wrong. I'd put City to win 4-2. I'd had a few..... Redid the slip correctly (I thought), and threw it away when City won 4-2. Started to leave the stadium and wondered if I could have possibly filled in the slip incorrectly again. Went backed the bin (I'm a tidy sort) and the crumpled slip turned out to be worth a grand. 10 quid at 100-1. The booth only had ten pound notes and I left with my pockets stuffed. I know it's a cool story bro' kind of post, but hey....it could happen you you... :st2:
Chris_B_SWFC
I take the club to heart and what do they do to me? Let me down for £3500. The only time I want Wednesday to draw and Nuhiu, the sexy Austrian or whatever he is goes and finds his scoring boots. Honestly felt like I'd been smacked in the balls with an hammer. Anyway, the unbeaten run continues. I'll dream of the holidays I could have had. Bloody Nuhiu All Wednesday & Albion aren't we? Gut wrenching isn't it? First game of the season, Preston cost me £1200 on an 8-fold by drawing at home. They were losing 1-0 but decided to score in injury time just to taunt me. Felt sick for hours after. vulva
The reason I quite like Keiron Agard is that he won me £12k on an accumulator last season, with a 95th minute goal.
Weshallovercome
You never see a poor bookmaker. I had a good go in 1986, was on a laybarge and the purser used to take bets. Got two yankees up in a week that cost him £3700.....he stop all bets after that.
theowlsman
Rule 1 a never put money on or against Wednesday True dat. Has always been the case. Never bet on Wednesday, they always let you down. If you bet on Wednesday to lose, to inspire a Wednesday win, that doesn't work either.
Utah Owl
Ten-fold. All at relatively decent odds. Stuck a few quid on and the returns were three an half grand. And Wednesday out of all the ******* teams let me down. You really haven't learnt have you. NEVER, EVER rely on Wednesday to deliver the result you want! asteener1867
Never bet on Wednesday..it never fookin' works.. The optimistic 10/1 away at Liverpool...doesn't work.....So you put Liverpool as yer banker....think youve sorted it...Wednesday equalise in the last minute.... The realistic...Wednesday 1/6 on at home to Billericay...use it asyer banker..but lay off on Billericay at 16/1...Billericay get a last minute equaliser... Ive tried all the fookers... You bet on Wednesday to lose, cos you really want 'em to win....they draw... You bet on Wednesday to win...cos you really hope they will draw...they lose You bet on Wednesday to draw...cos you want 'em to ,lose cos if they do the Blades go down..They win 9-0 You cannot trust the fookers....
