BRADDAZ
Why can't people accept he won't play great every game and that lower league clubs are allowed to have servants of the game who donate large amounts of their careers to one club? Longest serving player, entertainer and always to be relied on. Never doubted him and never persecuted him just because he can't dribble round six players every game. Just enjoy him and be grateful that in this day and age of silly money and lack of loyalty JJ has played with a smile on his face for years in a Wednesday shirt and will be remembered for years to come. Cult hero, icon and a nice fella to boot. BOOM. I believe this post as nailed it. Spot on Mr. Bach, spot on!

Guest JonTheOwl66
Didnt we pay something like 300k for him too? Amazing purchase.
owls maniac
Well said, Banch. In the last 10 years of poo poo watching JJ in his pomp has been one of the rare joys.
Guest Fedor
Superb again today. JJ has had a good season and should have figured much more. He was playing well at the start of the season until dropped to right back. Came in against Hull and was superb then he was the one who made way for Lita. Should have had more faith in him. Bluesteel
Didnt we pay something like 300k for him too? Amazing purchase. Something like £300k or £400k after we sold Bougherra I think?
asteener1867
To be fair to him, he's been unlucky to be dropped a couple of times this season, after decent displays...he was untouchable today from the off. Marking him must be a nightmare....once today he went past 3 and only touched the ball once, the rest was dummies , stepovers and smoke and mirrors...you stand up everytime he gets it....you know it might not come off...but when it does.... Carl Shutt is God
Love JJ. Could tell he was on it today fro. Kick off when he ran half the length of the pitch and won us a corner. He has scored some cracking goals for us. 2 more great goals today. He may be erratic and frustrating at times but when he plays well he is totally unplayable. sage owl
Winning goal today was one of the best I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of games over the last 45 years .

yowl84
He should stay longer because he's part of the club's identity, and if DJ wants to develop new / young players, you need some senior players connected to the club around the place to help provide the right environment. That and he's class, obviously. Edited April 6, 2013 by yowl84
Arthur Bach
He should stay longer because he's part of the club's identity, and if DJ wants to develop new / young players, you need some senior players connected to the club around the place to help provide the right environment. That and he's class, obviously. He has a very under-stated theological side to him, always tweeting inspirational phrases and mantras. Apparantly when he finishes his playing career he wants to return to Jamaica and coach football - he is very much associated with his roots rather than a plastic-Reggae Boy such as Robbie Earle. Whether he decides to stay or not, who knows? But it's a nice thought that he will take a piece of Sheffield Wednesday home to Jamaica with him. airborne_rat_of_s6
Well done JJ - who would have thought that he would have quietly bided his time without sulking on the bench and then made a real impact at the time of need.

Ronnie Starling
JJ was great today. I also feel he has been harshly treated this season as he was sacrificed for the likes of Bothroyd and Barkley early on in the season after the team had started well. I remember his tweet after the Middlesbrough away game saying how fed up he was. Well JJ you showed em today enjoy your weekend and well done son.
