A couple of things from this mornings Sheffield Star that dont exactly fill me with confidence that anything will be any different (Quality wise) when this window opens to the last ones, plenty of Words, but not much WORTH WHILE action, and as usual being left with the dregs as the window closes as per.

Also seems to back up reports from the forum the other week, where PA stated, that dispite the fact that the window would be opening in a few weeks, we had no transfer targets in mind, see what you make of them, as im sure other will disagree.

The manager has drawn up a list of Targets, and made one inquiry yesterday, only to find that the player had ALL READY DONE A DEAL with another club for January..

Jones and Mandaric have also discussed Sidebe and Helan, who's loans run out after tomorrows game, and Bothroyd who's runs out on Jan 2nd.

Its not yet known whether any signings would be LOANS or full deals, "YOU SEE WHATS ABOUT" he said.

FFS. So we go after a player who has a deal lined up. Does that mean we are the last club out of the 92 to start looking at targets?

The bastion of truth and journalistic integrity that is the Sheffield star doesn't know what's happening with our loan players. Does that mean we haven't decided? Does that mean DJ and MM don't realise that the loan deal is up? Or does it man they are looking at other options and playing their cards close to their chests so as not to alert others?

Looking at the top scenario, a team has gone in and secured the services of a player that they want. Something that you are desperate for us to do. We didn't know that player had been sorted, as the club that has done the deal has played it's cards close to its chest. Something that we are probably doing in scenario 2.

But no, you're probably right, we won't have a clue about which players we want and will be left with the dregs at the end of the window.

So you are saying there is nothing to base that assumption on then, based on ours and MM past track record ???

So what do you expect.....here you are Dave here is 10 millilon!

it was always going to be loans never expected anything else.

Neither did I, despite the noises coming (again) from within the inner sanctum, anyway i hope your both right, and by keeping our cards close to our chest, and, now what did he say, oh yea "seeing whats about" and bringing em in on loan, we quickly climb the table.

Any off to celebrate the none demise of the world, and mad Friday, so enjoy the discussion.

Of course we'll sign some loan players, especially as it looks like Bothroyd, Rodri and Sidibe may be returning to their parent clubs.

Let's wait until we've signed players before we knock the policy in place for January shall we?

Christ.

Oi, stop it. We always end up with the dregs under MM and DJ. Always. It will happen again. We have never signed a player we really want ever and we won't this time.

Intercity, maybe it'd be better for you if the world does end, cos you don't seem to enjoy what it has to offer anyway. Lighten up and see what happens before lambasting the club based on an article in a paper I would only buy if I needed to wrap up some dogshît. Seriously mate, wait and see.

Well, that's a good start at least.

Yeah let's sign loads of new players again and then we can change the starting 11 for the next 20 games until we realise they're all bobar.

Milan ain't gonna be splashing out this time around, what we have now should be plenty good enough to be doing better than we are now. Maybe a couple of loan signings but you're silly if you're expecting anything more!

Dear Star,

Here is a list of the players we are looking at in the January transfer window. Please keep this quite as we don't want to alert other clubs.

Yours faithfully,

Sheffield Wednesday.

Do you really expect them to come out with the above? The report in the Star is just smoke and mirrors. I think some of you have been sniffing too many mince pies!
