edinburghowl
Deserves a bit of praise too for his effort after coming on as a sub yesterday. He had started to go a bit stale, and his performances had definitely dipped the last few games he had started, but after a shaky start he was back to showing his talent again. I was impressed with him yesterday. Rhys misplaced a few passes when he first came on, but he didn't hide when the grumbles started (unlike others have in the past), and he started to show some real quality. The way he controlled the ball and then the pass for Antonio's chance in particular was top class. Good to see him back in the side and it seems the break has done him some good. Charles Monkey
I agree, he is a class act and a major asset for us.
Bluesteel
I haven't seen him live since the Bolton game and I thought he was our best player in that game, really trying to make things happen. Glad to see him getting back to that.

eckington owl
The pass to Antonio where he was through on goal and fluffed it - world class that. This lad is going to be one hell of a footballer!
OasisOwl72
Spot on eckington. Pass of the match by McCabe. Very promising young midfielder, technically good. Nice to see him back. Good signing from Jones and good to have cover in McCAbe and Lines when Barkley goes back.
richowl
Cracking little player. A midfield of consisting of these four is full of potential... Mayor-McCabe-Corry-Antonio I wouldn't mind Mayor getting 30 mins tuesday night tbh. Edited November 4, 2012 by richowl
Animis
he added some energy to midfield and sitting in front of semedo narrowed the gap to the strikers, which was a problem in the first half
Gateford_Owl
I really think a midfield three of Barkley/Semedo/McCabe will become the regular starting combination once everyone is fit...especially away from home. A genuinely exciting prospect who will hopefully be around for years to come at S6
Guest Glasgow Owl
Everyone that follows on Owlstalk are real Wednesdayites and knowledgeable of our squad. We know Rhys is a top player and our playmaker for years to come.
yowl84
McCabe provided some of the game's few moments of real quality yesterday. He is the kind of player we need to perform in order to win games and climb up the league table. A cut above.

Taximark
A very good player, when all of our players have settled in (and it might take a season) I think we could have a really good squad of players in this side.
Beholder
McCabe made some lovely incisive forward passes yesterday. I feel we have some really talented passing midfielders at the club now including Palmer. Not since Sheridan have we had a proper playmaking midfield general. I think from out of these players, one will fill that role for years to come.
trevdi9
ready made player for when barkley go's home, the lad could turn out to be special for us no complaints at DJ for buying this lad Edited November 4, 2012 by trevdi9
Rodger Wylde
Dave Jones' best signing by a country mile. I would go as far as to say, I love him! There, I've said it.

owls maniac
Can't remember the last time I saw a through ball of that quality at Hillsborough, and he's only 20 years old! Say what you like about DJ but he's brought some exciting young prospects in who will stand this club in good stead 2,3 years down the line.
