Guest foreverSWFC
Pecnik looks class. But BG post 'who the flip is this clown' was one of my favourites in Owlstalk history.
KivoOwl
He was out of his depth in midfield, but turned it up a notch up top. Still don't think he's a first team pick for me yet. Would like to see another midfilder and striker to come in.
PeteG_1984
Awesome 2nd half. Looks like a player who will suit an advanced role. Not an out and out striker but not a central midfielder - anywhere inbetween
Bluesteel
Poor penalty, but he's not afraid to try things and is a bit of a maverick. I think he could be a bit of a cult hero when he gets going. He needs to button it with the refs though otherwise he'll be getting sent off a lot.
Daz
He was much better playing behind the main striker as opposed to midfield. On that showing, he's nowhere near the answer for us in midfield - but he was very dangerous in the more advanced role.
theowlsman
You talked Tosh about Owen Morrison and Ben Marshall, but I'm with you on this Neil. The boy has magic in his toes.

McRightSide
2nd half we got him into the right areas, and that was critical. Early days but definitely some promise. As a side note, actually quite liked having a competitive game before the league starts, a bit like a high-octane friendly.
Beholder
I am a bit pissed off i did not get back in time to start my own Pecnic thread which had a far catchier title. In fact, flip it. I don't care if there is already a thread...
BRADDAZ
Very good playing further forward. Bloody awful in centre midfield. Clearly got good technical ability and I'm looking forward to seeing more of him. Positive second half.

I was telling people he was better as part of a front two from the day we signed him. I also keep telling people I'm never wrong. It's a cross to bear, but I'll survive
sharrowowl
Why did he show the ref his belly button My slovenian is pretty basic but from what i could gather the ref told him to 'button it', Nejc interpreted this as 'show me your belly button' Edited August 13, 2012 by sharrowowl
Guest dunellaowl
Us wednesdayites are not used to a two footed quality ball player over recent years so we need to get used to pecnik's style. As for the OP are you nej pecnik??
Bluesteel
I think the problem he might have is that in a 4-4-2 he will never have a position that he is able to make his own. Did we go 4-2-3-1 in the second half? That could be the way forward for us with Antonio and JJ either side and Pecnick just behind.

RUMBELOWS91
Two feet, superb balance, great first touch, vision and a bit of unpredictability about him. On the downside, not disciplined enough to play in centre mid in a 4-4-2. 2nd striker or one of 3 in a 4-2-3-1 formation for me. Like the look of him though if DJ can find the right role for him. Looks a tremendous player in that advanced role, in the hole if you like, pulling the strings. Not a central midfielder though in a million years, judging by that first half.
