Jesus
This is the most annoying thing I keep reading on here. To base not wanting us to sign a player because their current club no longer wants them is plain stupid as far as im concerned. Just because a player hasnt performed well recently at a different club does not mean Dave Jones can not get the best out of them in OUR system and surrounded by OUR players. Trust DJ and give the players a chance
camffiti
Michael Morrison & Darren Potter spring to mind. There can be a number of reasons why it doesn't work out for a player at one club, but does at another.
torryowl
wouldnt disagree mate many players cant cut it at some clubs and go on to be successful elsewhere and vice-a-versa.look at grant holt flopped here and at forest.

NeonLeon
Llera Lines wasn't in the Bristol Rovers side. Bywater Rob Jones Add to that people that have left us over the years and done well. Its all about whether the club and the player suit eachother.
Utah Owl
Well let's look at Lee Chapman. Not good enough for either Arsenal or Sunderland, but what a job he did for us, Forest & Leeds afterwards. Sometimes the player is just in the wrong team at the wrong time.
Guest Lawrie Maddens Hump
I keep stressing Roberts refused to sign a contract, Huddersfiekd have said they have released him but technically he was a free agent. They offered him a contract at Christmas which he refused to sign. . Can't see what everyone's problem is we were all singing Roberts praises when Megson wanted to sign him. We have saved around £500k. Good business all round IMO. Edited June 1, 2012 by Lawrie Maddens Hump

swfcGibbo
Steve Watson was excellent for us yet West Brom slated him. We loved Maclean yet he was terrible anywhere else he went, same with Tudgay. It's all about the right player at the right club.
Hack-Abusi
great OP from Jesus Chris Lines, signed from a league two club that had been relegated "not good enough for us" Gary Roberts, released from Huddersfield, "not good enough for us" etc etc etc etc Edited June 1, 2012 by Hack-Abusi
