Guest wilyfox
I rate Paul Sturrock very highly. He took the reigns at Hillsborough and transformed our side, guiding us through the play-offs into the Championship in less than one full season. He has a sound knowledge of lower-league football, and produces teams capable of effective football. Our best manager since Big Ron's second spell, in my opinion; until Megson Jr, of course... bigdan2003
Sturrock is genuinly a top bloke. I was fortunate enough to meet him on 3 occasions while he was manager at Wednesday, a really nice bloke, and funny too. I really hope he remains fit and healthy enough to continue in football for many years to come. Would love to see him back at Hillsborough as a guest one day.... Mountain Owl
God bless him,top bloke who got dumped on by uncle Dave. And Karen Walker. He was treated badly by those people and wanted desperately to stay at Hillsborough. If only the club would have backed him when he was trying to sign Kenwyne Jones, what might have been. Shezza
I love Paul Sturrock, and I'll never forget what he did for us. He should drop that beard, though.

Completely agree - we would never have had to endure the BL and AI debacles if he had. Sacking luggy was one of the low points of that shithouse's reign. Chin up Chezzie - he isn't the mesiha! swfc-dan
Never know he had Parkinsons, guy did very well not to show it as he mustve had it when he was here. Great bloke though and very good manager. The only manager us younger lot can actually remember and look up to (soon to be Megson too of course)! El Wednesday
The day we sacked him was one of my lowest points as an Owl. History shows us that when we let a good manager go, relegation soon follows: Wilko, Big Ron (2nd spell), Sturrock.
