sonofbert2
I remember the first time Coventry played at Hillsborough after they had sold us Pearce, they were singing - You've bought Andy Pearce You've bought Andy Pearce You daft barstewards You daft barstewards You've bought Andy Pearce. Interesting match report. Andy Pearce Own Goal I thought he did ok for us. His lack of quality in certain areas gained him cult status as you'd never accuse him of not giving everything he had on the pitch.
itsonmyhead
i liked the ' hoss' he was great to watch when he got running with his hair flowing behind him.he might not have been the most technically gifted player but he would truly have died for the cause ,a trait our current squad lack's in abundance
scram
Andy Pearce may have been limited - he was an honest player who wore hsi shirt with pride I wouldn't knock the fact that he's had to get a "real" job - i'd more lament the fact that many players will do far less and at a lesser level in their careers and earn enough in any one season to retire to a life of luxury

Mr Farrell
Beast. Proud to wear the shirt. Puts many these days to shame.
Good Old Arsenal
Seem to remember he scored one of the most comical own goals ever at Coventry - completely miscued his clearance which spun back into the net!!
optimisticowl
Not my favourite player, however we actually made a mint when we sold him to Wimbledon, for whom he bombed big style.
DIPPS_S.W.F.C
I thought he was a solid player..him n Pearson at back with Worthington and Viv and Nielson..no prisoners taken there.. Didn't he chase crazy gang/nobhead jones into their dressing room at half time?or was that someone else??UTO ftb
Earlsfieldowl
Who cares what he does now - it’s about making a living in what are increasingly difficult times, unless you have pots of cash. Limited player but always gave 100%
scram
My favourite game of his when we played Everton at home - they were wearing that maligned pink coloured kit Our Andy schooled the fearsome Duncan Ferguson that game - went toe to toe with him and gave better than he got and came out on top Not many did that to Ferguson back then
HirstWhoScoredIt
A cult hero but in truth it was the start of the decline. Bringing in somebody like Pearce to replace the likes of Pearson and Anderson. Atherton and Nolan soon followed to replace Nilsson and Worthington. The list goes on. Thats why I absolutely refuse to admit Francis did a good job. He took on a brilliant team, added Woods, Warhurst, Bart-Williams, Waddle and Bright. From that point on he just made it worse - his judgment in the transfer market after May 1993 was abysmal. scram
I remember seeing him at Luton away - i think it was the day we lost 3-2 - and he was immensely awful But we were able to celebrate stopping in league one because Rushden and Diamonds had failed to get the result they needed Thats how bad it was then - Turner was an absolute car crash Edited March 11, 2018 by scram
