Let's not bother. We've got more than enough to stop up, and we won't go up. Save the money and give it a real good push in the summer. Spending money now, especially on loan players, would be like wallpapering a house that you're selling next week.

Spend the rest of the season clearing the decks, and line up 2 or 3 top quality signings in pre season that will make all the difference.

Never gonna happen.

Even though we obviously still have a chance, these 2 home games were huge. 6 points would have put us right in contention. We just arn't good enough. A very honest, hardworking side, with a decent bloke in charge. But still a distance from being classed as genuine promotion candidates.

Some creativity, and a genuine goal threat are an absolute must in the summer. Palmer needs resting, and Lavery needs sending on loan to get some game time. Ship out Corry, McCabe and Kirkland, and somehow keep Westwood.

Spend some money on the pitch ffs.... and if Gray had been given the DOF he was promised and some attackers earlier on in the season then just imagine where we'd be now?

Despite the worst set of attackers in the division and one of the lowest budgets in the division Gray has remarkably got us in the top ten.

Letting the season pitter out with or without the potential takeover is dangerous. Results and goals breed confidence, we should play for every point,

even though we're safe and probably won't make the play-offs. We don't want our home form and our goal scoring problems to continue into next season.

Westwood and Lees have been a couple of signings of phenomenal quality.

I'm not sure how you've managed to miss that, to be honest.

Both have turned out to be great signings I agree, but did we just drop lucky with them?   At  the time, were they really signings that could be bracketed in the "2 or 3 top quality signings needed to make a difference" category that the OP was referring to?
