Mansfield fans have short memories

Recommended Posts

Was looking on Mansfield’s forum to see what they were saying about the game Saturday and most are slating Wednesday for only giving them 4,000 tickets and even a suggestion that we should open The Kop for them and it’s disgusting there will be loads of empty seats.

Looking back, they only gave us 1,666 tickets for last seasons Pizza Cup game at their gaff, the crowd was only 2,836 so the away fans outnumbered the home fans yet their ground holds just over 9,000 but they wouldn’t give us anymore tickets.

Pot and kettle spring to mind.

Fair play though on them bringing 4,000 to Hillsborough when they only get around 6,000 of their fans for home games at Field Mill, you’d think it was there Cup Final lol

Why don’t they just turn up like we did in ‘79-80 and take over 3 and half sides of the ground?

Christ, we always get one, cheers Danny.

Hardly a glamour tie for us before Christmas.

Good on them for bringing their entire home fans to this game. I forget sometimes that there are sides like Mansfield in the world. Must be really grim supporting them with masses of bigger sides all around them.

Good day out for them.

Home ticket sales not looking great.

That's surprising,. it's only £10/£5  and we've a real chance of getting to the third round. If we can get 6,000 in each stand it would be a good atmosphere. Looks like a nice day too. What's not to like?

Think you need to read it again..... clever play on words 😉

Why?

How many do you expect to be there for an FA Cup 2nd round game against a League Two side when there's World Cup football on the TV at the same time, a cost of living crisis and a general apathy to anything that isn't the League?
