Time will prove one of us wrong, i predict a steady career doing what he’s doing now, odd season in the championship, he’s not a bad footballer but nothing special either, no way at all we’d be thinking of him if he wasn’t who he is.

In fairness had David not signed for Wednesday I doubt he would have been the player he ended up (my opinion right club right time)

That's not the point at all though

I was simply asking if 13 is the expected standard of goals from strikers this season, then how many of our strikers have achieved it

Sorry no it is the point when you sign a player its to improve a team (squad) is it not, and yes i do have a name lol

Ok then, what is it about his game that you think could improve us?

You mean apart from the stats that I've just posted?

1) he's young and has potential to develop. Age is on his side

2) He's not injury prone and would actually be available for selection

3) Clearly knows where the back of the net is. Saw his goals against Wigan and his movement off the ball and his strength when on the ball was brilliant and a tidy finish to cap it off.

Now tell me, why wouldn't he be a fit for us?

IMO it shouldn't be a question, if Hirst is (or will be) a good striker.

Question is, would he be our first target? And would he ever come back to us?

I guess we can answer both questions with a "no". At least these are the questions, I would ask.

We have better players already at the club and hope to be in the league above, if we were to add a striker then I’d like to think there would be a few that are ahead of him on the list.

We have 1 striker who is better than him based on stats.
