Neither player you mention has based any success they have had in their career on pace and Rhodes at the wrong side of 30 now has looked like he has been towing a caravan for years, even so he looks marginally quicker than Paterson so no, it wouldn't surprise me at all if a spritely 16 year old striker whose dad was a fast striker, was quicker than them.
