Ravel Morrison

Put him on a contract that pays if he plays, but also offers big rewards for team points, individual assists and goals.  That way it’s very low risk and high reward for everyone!

Ravel Morrison has been a car crash at every club he has played at other than a loan move to Birmingham.

Emanuelson anyone a player who had played for AC Milan who played a sum total of 37 minutes for 1 season worth of pay.

We don't need Ravel Morrison, what we need is goal scorers, not another central midfielders who cannot score we already have loads of them.

Morrison 11 year playing career where he has managed to make 108 appearance and scored 15 goals, bar one season at Birmingham where he made 27 appearances scoring 3 goals, he has averaged 8 appearances a season, do we really need to waste yet more money on players we should not be signing when we cannot afford to pay the ones we have.

Motivate him with money. Contract to end of season, low basic, bonus for playing , bonus for goals and assists. Bonus for points gained when he plays, big bonus if we stay up.

He get's very little if he doesn't contribute.

Don't think he's anywhere near good enough. Any other player with a record like his would be playing non league. He's been stealing a wage wherever he's been just because Fergie said he was good 10 years ago.

Time after time he's shown he's not got the attitude to work his way into a team and be consistent. Complete opposite of what we need if we have any chance of staying up. We need some fight, this lad doesn't have it.

You know our chairman is DC right, he will sign a silly 2 or 3 year deal, barely play, then be paid a loyalty bonus.

in the meantime the best young talent at the club will be allowed to leave, because they wanted paying a fraction of what we will waste on players like Morrison.

A signing like this spark of desperation. Use the money to tie Urhoghide, Brennan, Hunt, Waldock to longer deals don't waste it on mercenaries.

Be surprised if there’s any movement this week. Morrison is in Austria with Jamaica for a game on Thursday against the USA

News article online reckons he’s not with Jamaica so might still be training with us ..

“Some reports have claimed that Morrison is part of the Jamaica squad for their friendly with the USA on Thursday. the Reggae Boyz have only picked a 19-man squad for the exhibition game which is taking place in Austria - and Morrison is not included on the list.”

I agree with those that say if we do take him on then it has to be very low risk. Low wage, incentive based, with the option of extending at the end of the season on an OK wage if he performs and we like what we see. Gives him the chance to start a proper football career if he really wants it.

Also happy if Moore decides it's not worth it.

He is according to this.

Eight players, including six born in England, received their first call-ups to Jamaica's national senior football team for an exhibition match against the 22nd-ranked USA on March 25 at Wiener Neustadt, Austria.

The new English-based players called to a 19-man squad are defender Curtis Tilt (Wigan Athletic FC), left-back Amari Bell (Blackburn Rovers FC), central defender Elthan Pinnock (Brentford FC), centre-back Liam Moore (Reading FC), centre-back Wesley Harding (Rotherham United) and forward Andre Gray (Watford FC).

The other two new faces are local-based players Renaldo Wellington from Montego Bay United and Jabari Hylton from UWI FC.

Four other English-based players are included in the squad. They are Adrian Mariappia (Bristol City), Michael Hector (Fulham), Ravel Morrison (unattached), who made his debut for the Reggae Boyz last November against five-time World Cup qualifiers Saudi Arabia, and former Wolmer’s Manning Cup captain Omar Holness, who has been playing for National League North club side Darlington since 2019.

I want us to sign Renaldo Wellington.  What a great name for a footballer.
