We were asked to keep paying the prices ..

The club would keep the same level of spending..

Hardly paid any kind of high transfer fees since then.

Take it you don't know about P&S ?

I agree in someways Sheffield United got lucky with appointing Wilder.

But during his time they make sure they do they homework on potential signings.
You are never going to get everyone signing right but by doing this you make sure you keep mistakes to a minimum.

We on the other hand in the 2016/17 season signed players as they sounded good and a 'gift to the fans'

Well our average attendance in 16/17 was 27,129, in 17/18 it was 25,995 and 18/19 it was 24,429.

To say that there are barely any POTG is nonsense.

16/17 there was as I said.

This season there’ll be around 21k season tickets.

We’ll have made virtually zero ticket POTG money against Charlton.

Even on Saturday, we’ve sold around 4k POTG tickets so that’ll be about 100k in total revenue from ticket sales we’ve made from the last two home games?

I can’t see where you’ve got a 60% increase in match day revenue from

So you claim, produce the evidence.

All I'm saying is that the bigger your budget for players it improves your chances.

if that was the case the clubs with biggest budget would go up

that doesn’t happen

Why not?

NO

Simply put is that was the case then it would always be a case of whichever club spends the most gets promotion

It isn’t the case, has never been the case, and probably won’t ever be the case either

But it often the case

True

Aided and abetted by peer pressure from other fans who have also fallen for it

Tbf, in the early years I stuck up for Chansiri (and went too far at times), but you've got to be either completely blind, blinkered or a combination of both to not see the absolute sh*tshow before you.

What is going on right now is not too far away from the realy dark days of the early 00s.

It is that bad.

That was a complete farce

We as supporters are paying for the clubs mistakes not their intentions

The ''in house'' kit was supposed to decrease cost of manufacturer  - it may well have done but the prices of this went through the roof  - that showed exactly what the club thinks of it supporters

They fleece us for every single penny AND STILL BREAK THE RULES

It's impossible to defend how its been run

They may have been a selling club but they have then reinvested that money. Agree they have had a large slice of luck however they have made their own luck in some cases. I.e selling players at the right time.

Ill make no further comment on this. Need to bleach myself down after a good birching for going anywhere near giving them praise. My humblest of apologies

that's ok,dont let it happen again

Simply not true

Show me examples over the last five years and I will concede that you are right

Spending the most in transfers?

Wolves

But their fans were not footing the cost.

Sadly, the club's approach has been to squeeze every last penny out of the current fanbase, whilst at the same time make very little effort to attract and recruit new fans.

If we had got promoted, then they would probably get away with it, as we all know the PL attracts new fans. As it is, we are a poor Championship team, charging more money than some Premier League teams.

Bonkers.

Because of loads of reasons.  There are no guarantees. Which manager would take the lower budget if offered the choice?  If you buy a first eleven all rated 7 out of 10.  Surely that will give a better chance than a team made up of players rated 6 out of 10 but not as good as a team rated 8 out of 10.

Would you rather go into a new season with players rated higher or lower?
