It's weird the way @Ian refuses to acknowledge Dawson's form has dipped to concerning levels.

Hard to explain the lack of objectivity.

Lack of objectivity from Ian? Surely not.

Both are good goalkeepers. Dawson isn't the problem..

Exactly......we've scored 2 goals in the last 4 games......3 of which have been against the bottom 3 and yet the kicking of the keeper is supposedly an issue!!

Westwood 16 goals conceded in 17 games

Dawson 19 goals in 14 games.

League games.

Not even close. After tonight, in League games alone this season...

Westwood 14+0 appearances, 15 conceded.

Dawson 18+1 appearances, 20 conceded.

It's pretty ridiculous to compare goalkeepers this way as there's so much context that has not been included, but if you do, there's nothing to choose between them.

The biggest issue almost all season (even when we were winning), is the lack of goals from anyone who isn't called Steven Fletcher.

For example, Tom Lees and Morgan Fox have scored as many as all of our central midfielders combined.

Do you really think Dawson is a good keeper or are you looking through blue tinted glasses? At crosses he flaps like a seal asking for a fish and his kicking is one of the worst I have ever seen.

Couldn't agree more, the defence obviously have zero confidence in him. He is league 1 standard at best. By far the worst keeper weve had this decade.

Dawson struggled again last night.

He’s in wretched form and desperately needs a rest.

Needs a rest? Hes played what, 10 games in a row and needs resting? Any decent keeper should be able to play for a full season, Dawson doesn't need resting, he needs dropping completely.

I was there. Dawson did nothing wrong last night.

You missed all the kicks that failed to get to the halfway line and he missed a corner only to get a soft decision from the ref then?

And then their keeper gets poleaxed by Atdhe, yet no foul given...

Won’t make too much of the obvious lack of clear communication and organization.

His kicking was OK, not a strong part of his game but no glaringly poor clearences last night.

If the ref gives a foul it's no ends cos it had no impact there after. So don't get why that's brought up.

Csnt comment on the communication cos I can't hear what is or isn't been shouted though we lack leaders generally.

To single Dawson of all players out on last night is beyond scapegoating. He was the least of the issues

But he’s a big problem going forward. To give him a four year contract on the basis of his last twelve months when a first team regular is quite frankly ridiculous and symptomatic of us as a club.
