Sham67
He went in two footed after the ball had gone. Easy decision for the referee. Clearest red card your ever likely to see.

Has the rule been changed? Is it only prem matches? It was queried last season when it happened. Anyway, FF went off and had to miss the free kick. He shouldn't have left the field of play. Or has the rule changed after 1 season? Can't find more up to date info. I reckon the ref didn't have a clue.

oldishowl
From where I was sat on the kop it looked like he launched himself off the floor therefore out of control and it looked two footed. Therefore straight red Not seen a replay
Mystic Neg
Paul Hurst wasn't impressed with the decision, claims Toto won the ball and Forestieri kicked him. I haven't seen a replay of it that clears it up but just for that Dawson assault against Hull it is nice to get a decision going our way when Fessi is on the floor! Lawrie Madden
The guy won the ball but thats irrelevant His follow through was studs up and endangered his opponent Red card all day long my view of it from the North
latemodelchild
Just seen it. Played ball and carried through taking out FF. Definite red like I say, all day long thats a red. Oh yes, red. Brilliant from the ref who I'm warming to. Player was out of control.

Birley Owl 1867
Was a straight red with view from kop Two footed lunge which caught Forestieri. Had a basically perfect view of it. Red card every single day.

Sticky belly
Looked like a late challenge and a yellow from the back of the Kop. I couldn’t tell if he went in 2 footed off the floor though. Will watch the replay on sky later.
Guest mkowl
Still not obvious from the TV angle but I suspect from the Kop it was clear cut. Oh and the ref as well

Mick said he approached from the north, studs up, landing gear out...I mean..approaching from that direction is a blatant yellow, ..blokes lucky not to be hung
Lawrie Madden
On the sky replay you can just see my pal Jump up in the North screaming for red it was right in front of us I think the ref got it absolutely spot on

It was one of the clearest red cards I've ever seen in over 50 years of watching football. Two footed and off the floor.

Red & Yellow are not Black and White; There are no grey areas for reds and yellows, it would be shades of orange anyway.
Costello 77
I know these decisions can be very nuanced at times. My opinion... after seeing it a few times...and bearing in mind the ref doesn't have this advantage...is. The more of their f*ckers off the pitch the better. 1
