If we were Man U, today's ref would be on the front pages tomorrow morning.

The FA don't want to know about problems within the game, but they need to be made aware that there is a problem, and you can bet that Panarama aren't going to report on an SWFC game. Even the Championship programme hinted that they're not interested in talking about the contentious decisions made today.

Are there any video techies out there? How about editing the 90minutes into comparisons of challenges to justify this 1 foul? Highlight the decision making. Analyse the pen appeals. Has Swarbrick sent off players before for fouls similar to the Terry/Dave tackle from behind?

Any statisticians out there able to check out his other Villa/Bruce/Terry games?   Where was he born/brought up? Who does he support? Have other teams fans got issues with him?

Anyone work for a car dealer and able to check out if he buys a new car on Monday morning?

The annoying thing is that we could've won that game.

There were the big incidents, but there were also so many small incidents that defied belief too.

The shove on Pudil infront of the north, the trip over his own feet by Terry that was given as a foul.

I really want want to see that challenge on Atdhe when he looked clean through - everyone stopped waiting to see what colour the card would be - not even a free kick!

I have never seen a game where it looked so obvious that a ref was giving every decision one way - nothing will ever happen and it all sounds like sour grapes

I 've just posted those photos on my facebook page. I would encourage everyone who has a facebook or twitter account to do the same. The FA won't take notice of emails or Owlstalk, but if we get this out there on social media, who knows ? Never felt so cheated in 40+ years of watching football.

The whole match stopped with terrys challenge..our players looked shell shocked..with their reaction i could tell we were going on to lose today..the players knew they werent getting anything and surprised we didnt get a player sent off for protesting

I have never been so desperate for one of the players to plant one on the ref - I know it probably would have been a 10 game ban at least but maybe it would have brought that performance to the headlines!!

I reckon it flashed through pudils head a few times..perhaps why he gave the pen away.

It was Butterfields best chance to redeem himself send him on in the last minute just to lamp the referee.

Today was a new level of bad.

Ive never seen anything like it. Genuinely still stunned and feel absolutely robbed. Snodgrass and Swarbrick. Can't bear to get anymore irate about them both. Sickening.

I’ve been taking my son to matches now for 5 years and have always managed to keep my language in check - today was the first time I couldn’t hold it in - unbelievable display!!

Haha beat me to it.

Drop referee, take out Snodgrass, ban for Butterfield.

Everyone's a winner.

2 birds, 1 stone and all that.

let's be honest here mick he wasn't woeful . HE CHEATED AND IS CORRUPT. I don't ever complain about refs in public but I'll make an exception for him today. Sat bang in line with the Terry challenge on Atdhe sending off all day long didn't even give a foul.

Could see what he was thinking. “If I give this foul it’s a card. If it’s a card it’s a straight red. Better not give the foul”. Obvious cheating.

Sickening thing is, nowt will get done about it. He’ll get another gig next week. FA will continue to charge managers for criticising them.

Snodgrass’ first dive was within 5 mins of the game starting. Ref bought it (or did they buy him). You just knew we’d got one  at that point.

Emailed the fa and EFL will let you know what they say asked them to look at video of match and if the ref was incompetent or why no matter what happened in game wednesday were not going to win was going to ask if the ref was bent but thought I might get a better response just implying it

When has any football team ever, in the history of the game ever committed just 1 foul in a game. 1 !!!! But that is what the stats say Villa committed.

The referee needs banning, for one of the most inept and biased performances I have ever seen.

It's a strange one isn't it?

I'm pretty certain the press will pick up on it..and it will go national.
